Shiner

Collin had a great day of skiing, he really liked it and he was pretty good at it too. But he did have a hard time slowing down and stopping. He ended up hitting one of the zebra poles (you can see it in the picture below) on his last run and gave himself a black eye! The ski patrol took really good care of him and he is prefect now-except for the bruise. He even woke up the next morning asking when we were going back!!!

Spring Skiing

We had a beautiful say of skiing on Monday. It was warm and the snow was pretty good for Spring skiing. Collin had his first day on the slopes, and he really liked it. He was pretty good, although the whole stopping thing eluded him just a bit. But by the end of the day he was starting to get snowplow, which helps you slow down.

Aidan did a really great job in his lesson. He is getting good at turns and is able to stop. He has gotten really good at riding the ski lift. And at the beginning and end of the day got to ride the gondola. I think that was the highlight of the day for him. Both boys are asking and begging to go again! Lets hope for somw more snow this week!

My New Car

OK, so this is a very silly post, but we got a new car this week. We weren't really looking for a new car. The minivan was getting too big for us and we ended up getting a really great deal on it. So here is Gordon (yes the boys named him after a Thomas the Train character)-he is a 2008 Mazda CX-9. And he is really fun to drive!!!

Aidan's Birthday Party!

The Rockers!!!
The boys were very serious about the tornament. They quietly waited their turn and were very serious when they were playing! It was very funny to watch! They played everything from Livin on a Prayer to Hotel California, and they all knew the words to The Joker. All the boys were pretty good at Guitar Hero too, we could tell that they either have this game or Rock Band at home!!! I was glad Aidan got a little practice this week with it, since the game was his birthday present from Grandpa!

Happy 9th Birthday Aidan!

Party Invite

This is my limit for creativity this month, Aidan's Birthday Invite. It really does look like a backstage pass and it was really easy to make and put together. I was really excited to see how cool it turned out! The party is going to be a Guitar hero tournament with pizza, soda and cake. It should be a lot of fun!

Fiddle Contest

So the picture quality is awful-blackberries can do a lot of things but video quality is not one of them, but you can hear him play. He played today in the Novice division and placed 5th. It was his first fiddle contest and he did great, placing 5th in a group with 13 kids. We also got to walk around the National Western Stock Show, the fiddle contest was in the Stock Show. Collin did not like the smell, he kept plugging his nose, such a city kid, but the boys did like looking at all the cool looking chickens and we did watch some sheep shearing. A fun day for all.

Christmas Craziness

Aidan loves anything Italian!!!
Collin got a new bike, which he thought was the coolest-its a Tony Hawke bike!
Cute Brothers Christmas morning! Santa did a great job bringing them webkinz. Collin even named his black dog Claire, so we could remember Claire always!
Opening even more presents. The boys had a lot of fun opening and playing with all the new presents. They still have not played with everything they got. Aidan got an ipod, lots of WII games, and a dock for his ipod. Collin not only got his bike, lots of WII games too and Bakugan. The funniest was watching the whole family try to play Outdoor game for WII and trying to Kayak!
