Our Many Violin concerts for the Month of December.  Aidan had his first Orchestra concert this month and got to play a solo with his Orchestra teacher Mr Paetsch and Daddy.  He played in front of about 600 people!  And he did an amazing job!  We were soooo proud of him!
Aidan, Collin and Rob also played in the Holiday concert with the other students from their violin teacher's studio!

Halloween 2009 version!

Aidan and Collin always have so much fun at Halloween.  Collin dressed up as a Jeidi Knight and Aidan found the funniest costume ever.  This sumo wrestler costume was probably the best one we saw all night long.  He got comments from almost everyone he passed on the street and all the houses he went to.  It was a hysterical costume!  Although it did deflat halfway through the night, but with a little mommy magic and daddy finding the missing piece all was put back to rights and he was able to go get more candy!  Thus ends Halloween version 2009!

Before Halloween

Every year we go to our neighbors Halloween party. And every year they have a pumpkin carving contest. I always let the boys pick out which pattern they want me to use, which means they usually pick the hardest one in the book. But because they pick the hardest one I usually win the contest! So thanks to the boys for picking out the hardest one!

Blizzard Time!!!

We normally get snow some time around Halloween, usually its on Halloween, but this year Mother Nature was much nicer in a way. She dumped 2 feet of snow on us Wednesday and Thursday! The boys had 3 days of snow days, and lots of time sledding, throwing snow balls and just generally laying around in the snow!
Chester also got to play in the snow. And he is most definitely a cold and snowy weather dog! He loves bounding around the yard chasing snowballs!

Aidan's Project!

For 4th grade, Aidan had to do a 3-D model of Colorado! He did the Rocky Mountains out of legos, the plans were green felt and the Colorado Plateau was made of pillow stuffing and felt. He got a BIG A+ on it, and the only points off were the ones that I took off. Parents got to grade a small portion of it! Aidan did have a lot of fun making it too!

4-H Festival

Collin playing with a mountain lion! The 4-H festival we went to had a hay ride, pumpkin patch, and a small nature walk. They had all these stuffed animals along the walk, including a porcupine, geese and this mountain lion.
Getting ready for the hayride!
We were at the festival for the boys, so they could play some fiddle tunes. It was a lot of fun!

Carrying the Flag

Getting ready to get the flag!

The Colorado Rapids played Toronto FC this past weekend and we had an opportunity to carry the US flag onto the field for the pre-game festivities. What a fun experience that was, making sure the flag did not touch the ground and waving it the entire time it was out on the field. Aidan also got his hat taken away by one of the mascots, who than paraded around with it on his head. The eagle did eventually give it back and Aidan thought it was the funniest thing. We also saw ourselves on the scoreboard. The boys got so excited to see themselves up on the big board! And to top it all off the Rapids won on a Conor Casey goal.

Look Who's 6! And a little soccer!

Collin loves playing soccer and is one fast little dude! I mean he is really fast, much faster than he has a right to be with the parents he has! We can also tell he plays soccer with his brother a lot, he is very good at stealing the ball from the other kids :)

Opening his birthday presents on his birthday! I can't believe he is 6 already. We went to dinner at Hacienda Colorado (Collin's choice) with Grandma, Papa, Beth and Chris. Collin loves being the center of attention! And certainly does not mind when we all sang happy birthday to him! His favorite present was the money he got!!!
