We went to the Colorado Rapids game last night for the 4th. They played the NY Red Bulls and they won 4-0. The boys had fun watching the game and taking pictures. The picture of the game is from Aidan, it was a bit of an accident, but it is of one of the Rapids players taking the ball away from a Red Bull player. The Rapids then had a fireworks show after the game. They let some of the fans onto the field to watch. Aidan was excited to sit on the pitch and Rob was jealous of the grass, it was like sitting on a carpet-really nice. Rob now has a goal!!! Opie Gone Bad (local band that is actually very good) played for a little bit and then the fireworks started. The boys were mesmerized by the show, especially Collin. The night turned out to be a lot of fun, and even Rob enjoyed it (he does not like crowds!). So this might have to turn into a tradition. Our next Rapids game we are going to is against an English soccer team (Everton). A great way to celebrate our 12th anniversary :)
